We bid farewell to Mzansi's favourite sugar free drink, TaB.

The powerhouse brand took to social media to say RIP to TaB and share their exciting alternative. See below:

Although this favourite drink is no longer in production, you are still able to stock up until the end of the year.

As seen in the social media post above, Coca-Cola has spilled the tea on their new plan to replace Tab with a #NoSugarNoCaffeine Coke.

According to News24, the move away from TaB is an effort for the company to invest in scaling brands and creating drinks that capture growth in the marketplace.

Here's what South Africa thinks of this major move:

  • “Tab was the best sugar-free drink, with no horrible aftertaste like all the other sugar-free drinks. What a shame that they had to take out a really good product.”
  • “Bye-bye TaB. I drank you once or twice in my lifetime. I won’t miss you RIP.”
  • “Still the best diet soft drink.”
  • "You best believe I'm gonna stock up."
  • "Sorry. Not interested and will not buy. Do everyone a favour and bring back TaB."

Unfortunately, TaB has tapped out, make sure to get a taste before we close this TaB forever.

Stacey Norman says: "TaB will always have a special place in my heart because my pre-school used to drink it during nap time."
