Listener: 'Is it a good idea to organise my own funeral?'

So recently one of my favourite musicians, Nipsey Hussle died and it got me thinking a lot about death.

So I’ve been thinking of starting to organise my own funeral.

I’m 33 and am relatively healthy even though I don’t go to gym all the time.

So I have no reason to think I’ll be going anytime soon but I think I should be prepared.

I don’t want to leave it up to my family, especially cause I don’t want them to waste money on me when I’m gone. 

My boyfriend thinks it’s very selfish because it will deprive my family of the opportunity to say goodbye and do something for me one last time.

Please can you guys give me some advice.
