Men are reportedly being charged more for car servicing than women

Well, well, just when I thought we were being ripped off by dodgy mechanics, it turns out that they are actually harder on the guys.

Research was conducted in the UK and it turns out that guys pay on average a minimum of 13% more than the fairer species of the same age for car services.

Could it be that batting our long lashes, in some cases fake lashes, work when we deal with mechanics? Could it be that we already look so vulnerable that they feel sorry for us?

I have no idea – but I like the result. I would always walk away from my previous mechanic feeling like I was taken for ride just because I am a woman. Well, turns out they could be doing me a favour.

I guess the next time I go to a mechanic I am gonna bat my lashes, smile from ear to ear, and just be my friendly self - that should keep the discounts coming!
