One of South Africa’s most-loved artists, Bulelwa Mkutukana - known to her fans as Zahara, has come out to say that she has put on a façade, and is ready to speak out.

She is a phenomenal performer and an incredible artist, but Carol Ofori has learnt that Zahara is tired of hiding the truth. The songstress is done with lying about herself and the music industry, and felt that it was time to speak out.
She posted her number publicly on Saturday afternoon on Instagram, stating she doesn’t want to be a statistic of the industry and wants to share her truth.
"Molweni emzantsi, i’m tired of lying about me and the industry. Like i said i’m not here to be praised but to inspire and tell my story.. now i’m ready to tell the thruth (sic)... call me here 065 615 4871 i don’t want to be a statistic. This account is not hecked (sic).. i’m talking about my music and the record labels," she said.
We reached out to her and during the chat, she revealed some pent up frustrations and realities she’s actually been challenged with and faced through her career.
Speaking out is scary, but Zahara urges other artists who are in the same position to say something before it’s too late.
