Chrissy Teigen gets online backlash for going out for supper

People are super angry that Chrissy Teigen went out to dinner without her newborn baby.

So John Legend’s wife Chrissy Teigen has gotten some serious backlash for going out to dinner a week after giving birth to baby girl Luna Simone.

Chrissy was photographed with hubby John Legend by her side as the couple stepped out for a bite to eat.

Little did she know that the simple act caused a swirl of backlash from fans and haters alike. Some accused her of being a bad mother, while others were just down right crude in their approach. Chrissy responded in typical Chrissy fashion and confronted the haters up front. Go girl!

I had a son almost 11 months ago and two weeks after giving birth my husband took us out for a bite to eat. Granted we took the baby with – but I felt I just needed a change of scenery. If I had a nanny at the time we certainly would have left the baby in her care. This was our first baby and I was completely overwhelmed and just needed a break from the conformity I was subjected to for the two weeks.

Please understand that my husband and I often ate out and enjoyed leisurely activity and with the new baby in our lives that all had changed – literally overnight. Now, I was expecting this to happen, but when it did, it still took me by surprise. I only realised after seeing a doctor that I was actually suffering from post-natal depression and I was put on medication which helped.

What I am getting at is that people are so quick to judge Chrissy for going out and spending a night with her husband, not knowing what she could be going through. We all don’t take to motherhood the same way. Some take to motherhood like a duck to water and for others, like me, it is a little tougher. The person who was sensitive to that in my case was my husband.

His opinion was the only one I cared about for obvious reasons. He was there every step of the way from pregnancy to birth, and understood the challenges and difficulties I faced. The social media critics on the other hand can take several seats and focus their attention on raising their own offspring and keep their emojis for someone who actually gives a tweet. Chrissy went out with her husband – not the girls for a night out on the town, her husband! What exactly is the crime here? This man has been there for her through the emotional rollercoaster that one goes through having a new baby, and instead of applauding the family unit they are, the social media “mom” trolls attacked them.

It is so sad how these so-called “mothers” go online and attack another mother over her choices and have no clue of the challenges she faces. Just because she is a celebrity they think they can tear into her as if her feelings and obstacles don’t matter. Mothers are known to be kind, understanding, and sensitive – where did that go if those same “moms” are turning veil on social media towards other moms? What are you teaching your own kids? I guess the real question here is – while you tweet your hate, what are YOUR kids doing, mama?
