#TrendReport: Sun safety gets smart

South Africa is a country with a strong outdoor culture, and sun safety is an important topic for us.
But the problem, especially in milder winter weather, is how to know when to put on more sunscreen to prevent UV damage. The normal advice is that it’s always time to reapply, but one creative collective has found a way to take the guesswork out completely.

It’s a project by NotCot for the US skincare brand La Roche Posay, and it uses your smartphone and another custom designed accessories to measure UV exposure.
