Self-driving vehicles are a big topic in design at the moment - and with this future in mind, Uber is looking into how to make the ride not just safe, but as smooth as possible too.
The ride-sharing company has been investigating how being a passenger in a self-driving vehicle is going to actually feel and they identified motion sickness as a potential issue to overcome.

If you’re not controlling the car yourself, you’re more likely to suffer from it, especially if you’re multitasking. So they recently filed a patent for technology that uses physical feedback to help reduce this phenomenon.
As Chris Reid, Trend Researcher at the International Trend Institute, explained, it’s an example of how our technology evolves quicker than our bodies. And their solution is quite an interesting one. Listen to the segment below to find out more:
