Superstitious old lady delays flight
A superstitious old lady threw coins at a plane's engine for good luck. Uhm, okay...
We have heard of superstitions which involve throwing coins in fountains, but never of coins being thrown in plane engines?!
According to Times Live, an 80-year-old woman threw nine coins at a plane engine as she was boarding her flight. Eight of the coins missed their target but one landed inside the engine.

This bizarre incident was reported by another passenger who was boarding the plane.

What is mind boggling is that the senior passenger was travelling with her husband, daughter, and son-in-law. Now one would think that the rest of the family would advise against this act of negligent behaviour? We guess not.
