Being a sports journalist, attention to detail is a must, especially when delivering a bulletin live on-air. I remember this one time when I was presenting Sportswave on East Coast Breakfast and forgot the name of a team that recently won their match. I almost went into a flat panic, but Darren Maule stepped in to fill in the blank for me. All I did was just laugh it off and carry on.
However, this poor journalist’s moment was so cringeworthy that I barely could watch it. She was doing a live crossing to the studio about late struggle icon Ahmed Kathrada’s medical condition when she completely messed up her script and at one point even said: "Guys, I can’t".
