The pop star that doesn't exist
Updated | By East Coast Drive
One of Japan's biggest pop stars has announced her first headline tour, and she won't even need a passport.

Hatsune Miku is is described as a virtual pop star.
She is a green-haired illusion or, quite simply, a hologram.
Miku will be performing a seven-city tour in the US in 2016 and is expected to sell out.
She was developed by Japanese music company Crypton Future Media back in 2007.
Miku boasts 2.5 million Facebook fans and has even opened shows for Lady Gaga.
A hologram! Yes, a hologram!
Miku's website says, "With a repertoire entirely provided by individual creators, she is the first truly crowd-created virtual talent."
The name Hatsune Miku means "sound from the future".
She could tour non-stop for years without suffering from exhaustion!
Thoughts? Would you pay to watch a hologram perform?
