Nelly opened up about one of the most interesting parts of the 'Dilemma' music video.
In 2002, when Nelly and Kelly released 'Dilemma', it really was a crazy part of my fond teenage years.

My friends and I knew all the lyrics to the song. We even tried to dress like Kelly and we all wanted that damned Nokia, ‘brick-looking’ phone that Kelly texted Nelly on.

I have always thought that maybe the technology at the time was a little too difficult and the only way they could text for the video was on Excel, and they hoped that the audience wouldn’t notice. Little did they know!
Nelly has explained that “it was the thing at the time. That was the technology", and to be honest, I still don’t get it… and Nelly doesn’t understand why either. They could’ve just used a notepad to type their message or better yet they could’ve used the texting function. I’m sure that was a feature back then?
