Missing teen left home because he was ‘bored of life'

Parents plead for son to return after he left home and promised to be back in a year.

Bored of life teen

Arthur Heeler-Frood was just a normal teenager. He was an A-grade student having received extraordinary grades at Colyton Grammar, which is rated one of the top state schools in Devon, Britain.

On September 6, a nightmare that would haunt any parent for the rest of their lives happened. Arthur vanished without a trace, only leaving a little note to his parents telling them they must not try to find him and that he promises to be home in a year. He also added that he was simply ‘bored with life’.

According to Metro, the note read as follows:

‘To Mum and Dad,

'I have run away because I am bored of my life. Please don’t try to find me or make me come home. I don’t know how long I will be away for, but it won’t be any longer than a year.

‘You will find my school uniform in a bin bag in a small barn in the field on the green, down the road from Membury church. My bike is chained to the fence, there is a spare key to the lock on the window.

‘Please can you apologise to the restaurant and tell them that I will no longer be able to work there. I know you will be upset, but understand that I have to do this.

'From Arthur.’

His parents, Caroline and Jeremy Heeler-Frood, are desperately making an emotional appeal for Arthur to return. Have a look at their emotional plea in the video below:
