During the visit at the Oval Office, the media requested that the two shakes hands, which ended up being quite an awkward situation. The handshake lasted for what seemed like eternity – an astounding 19 seconds, to be exact.
Trump ended up tugging the Minister’s hand a few times back and forth and even patted it. When he eventually let go, the Prime Minister was relieved to say the least.
Was the President sending some type of message with his tugging handshake? Who knows? However, the Prime Minister’s facial expression after he was released from the tight grip was priceless.
