The internet cannot cope with this latest optical illusion

First, there was the dress that everyone lost their minds over. Then a few weeks ago there was a snake in a pile of leaves that everyone battled to figure out. Now this illusion is baffling many.

According to Mirror, a German app called Jodel shared the baffling illusion on Twitter. It's simple - there's basically two options as an answer. Can you figure out what is in the background of the image?

There are two opposing parties.

Half of them say it's a river and the other half say it's a wall. But what is it exactly?
