Australian model slammed for allowing son behind the wheel

This model posted a video of her son driving a day after his 15th birthday - and fans are not happy about it.

Australian model Elle Macpherson has found herself in hot water after she took to her Instagram account to post a video of her son driving for the first time on a main road... at just 15 years of age. 

The video comes a day after he celebrated his 15th birthday and according to Daily Mail, it is assumed that the video was shot in their hometown of Florida, USA.

2Cool Traffic School reports that the legal driving age in Florida is 15, which is the youngest age that one can obtain their learners permit. 

The post, captioned '15 and one day!' has already been viewed over 25,000 times and has received comments from many who shared the legal driving ages for countries around the world.

The legal driving age in South Africa is 18, but you are allowed to drive a 125cc motorcycle at 17. 

Driving without a license is a traffic violation in South Africa. Arrive Alive reports that underage teens who go on a joyride are more likely to be in accidents caused by speeding and driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
