World’s most expensive cow sells for R90-million

This is one for the history books! Recently, a Nelore Cow fetched a sky-high price of approximately R90-million.
This record-breaking cow sold at an auction in Brazil and highlights the significance of superior genetic qualities.

The Nelore breed, known for its shiny white coat and distinctive hump, originates from India but has thrived in Brazil due to its ability to withstand harsh climates and adapt exceptionally well.
This cow is among the most genetically superior individuals in the Nelore breed.
In Arandú, São Paulo, an auction saw intense bidding, resulting in one-third of the cow's ownership selling for a remarkable 6.99 million reals, equivalent to R90-million. This sale propelled her total value to an unprecedented $4.3-million, surpassing her own previous record set just a year earlier.
