When saying "Yes" goes wrong
Updated | By East Coast Breakfast
When you get proposed to in public, the normal reaction you would expect would be cheers and excitement. Well, not in this case, as this young Iranian couple got arrested...
According to The Indian Express, the Iran police arrested the couple because they broke the laws of public decency. The video, which spread on social media last Friday, shows the young man standing in a heart-shaped ring of flower petals next to colourful balloons in a mall in the central Iranian city of Arak.
After proposing to her, he slips the ring on her finger, with onlookers cheering. According to Deputy Police Chief Mostafa Norouzi, it is unacceptable for young people to do whatever they want.
This will go down as one memorable proposal... just maybe not for the right reasons.
