A vibrant 18 year old recites a compelling poem to the president.
Born and bred in a small town called Mafikeng in the North West Province, Thuto Gaasenwe wrote one of the bravest pieces of poetry we've ever heard.
She started doing drama at the age of 11 when she joined the Mmabana Arts and Culture Foundation back home. Since then, she has starred in over 10 productions and has performed in numerous festival. Around 2012 she started having an interest in poetry which led her to being the performer that she is today.
Thuto released a video titled "Dear Mr President" which went viral. She received almost 50 000 views on Youtube and over 200 000 views on Facebook. Her poem touched alot of hearts and drop a lot of jaws. Since then Thuto has been recognised by media giants such as eNca and a number of publishing companies.
