Video that got Bafana coach suspended
Updated | By Benedict Ngwenya
This is the video that might have led to the suspension of the Bafana Bafana coach, Ephraim "Shakes" Mashaba.
The South African Football Association has suspended Mashaba due to what they call a regrettable incident after the South African national side's victory over Senegal which could not be revealed but a video of what transpired has emerged.
SABC1 is the only channel that was doing the post-match inteviews and I was perplexed when their touchline expert, Kwena Moabelo could not speak to Mashaba immediately after the man-of-the-match interview.
He crossed over back to the studio then after sometime they went over to him and he then did the interview.
It looks like it took a lot of doing from Kwena to land the interview with the coach. In this video he is allegedly insulting the SAFA officials and journalists for predicting a downfall for the national team. He was refusing to do the post-match interview.
During the live interview Mashaba said some people had already buried him.
"What does this win mean to me? It’s a second lease of life. I was dead already‚” he said.
