UEFA Euro is a fashion parade event
Updated | By Benedict Ngwenya
These pictures prove that fashion is part and parcel of the UEFA European Championship.
The 2016 tournament got off to a flying start in France with the hosts defeating Romania 2-1 in the opener but before a ball was kicked, players and teams took the opportunity to show off their clothes and hairstyles.
It is usual for teams and players to show off during this tournament but this year they've upped their game.
The Welsh Arsenal midfielder, Aaron Ramsey waited for the tournament to unveil his new blonde hairstyle.
Manchester United midfielder, Marouane Fellaini, currently representing his country, Belgium also followed suit. He also went blonde.
Former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand hailed the Czech Republic team as the best dresssed upon their arrival in France.
The England national team could not wait to rock the suits that had been promoted for a very long time.
I hope the players are going to display equally fantastic football. From what I've seen so far the tournament is going to be a cracker!
