Trevor Noah, SA is proud of you!

Trevor Noah's made his debut as host of The Daily Show in America this morning. While we'll will only get to see the late-night talk programme tonight (21h00 Comedy Central) many of us have taken to social media to show Trevor how much we love and support him. 

We've been tweeting using #TrevorDay because today's unofficially been declared Trevor Noah Day in SA. 

Trevor's first guest was the eccentric and hilarious Kevin Hart, who's coming to Msanzi next year. 31-year-old Trevor was probably quite nervous before his big debut but we didn't see any of that on Twitter. He tweeted, "Please join me and my first guest @KevinHart4real as we make history."

I've been reading some commentary ahead of Trevor's first show and one journalist said that unlike another American talk show where social media was on lockdown, The Daily Show invited journalists to tweet pictures from the set during the pre-air shows. 

So what can we expect from our South African son? Well Trevor has put it out there that he is not Jon Stewart. So the satire show will be getting a facelift. 

Trevor's told CNN that there will be more musical performances. He says,"I love music, that's why more music." We can't wait to see Trevor in action! Well done Trevor, South Africa is proud of you!
