The serpent expert previously caught a green mamba in the same place. He was thrilled to hear the same snake was found.

The incredible specimen was found underneath one of the scaffolding boards, above a window space. Nick presumed one of the workers leaned out of the window for some fresh air and looked up to see the 'preserved emerald jewel', as Nick describes it.

He explains that with the help of a few of the workers, he managed to safely rescue the reptile, which was coiled and tucked away under the board.

"I managed to hook a coil onto the broom and pulled it very gently out. Luckily, the part I hooked out was about the midbody. I grabbed that with my tongs and handed the broom to someone standing behind me. I then grabbed the tail very gently. Sometimes, Green Mambas can be a bit twitchy and don't like having their tails touched," said Nick.

Nick caught three green mambas last year, and he has managed to match that number this year already!
