Serena Williams chases phone thief
She's a tennis star and businesswoman. Serena Williams can now add 'Supergirl to that growing list of titles.
Remember we told you yesterday about how Serena went after a guy who'd swiped her cellphone from a restaurant table in San Francisco?
Well CCTV footage of that chase has been released and we love it!
Serena is seen sitting with a friend at a table in the busy Chinese restaurant. A man suddenly comes over and stands next to her before pocketing her phone.
Serena looks around wondering what had happened to her device and then makes a dash for the exit, hot on the heels of the smartly dressed phone thief.
Serena says, "I kindly asked him if he "accidentally" took the wrong phone."
"He stumbled on his words probably not expecting this to happen. While he was thinking of the right thing to say and eventually he said "Gosh you know what I did! It was so confusing in there. I must have grabbed the wrong phone."'
Serena got her phone back and was greeted with a standing ovation when she went back into the restaurant.
