Purity Essential Baby Powder recalled by Tiger brands

A case of rather safe than sorry...
The mega company in South Africa Tiger Brands has decided to recall all of its Purity Essentials Baby Powder this week as a precautionary measure.
According to Business Insider, traces of asbestos were found within a sample.

Asbestos is a group of six naturally occurring minerals made up of heat-resistant fibers.
It can cause lung cancer, as well as other cancerous diseases.

In a statement by Tiger Brands, they have come out to confirm they are recalling all their baby powder products.
"The affected batch of raw materials doesn't meet Tiger Brands strict quality and safety standards," says the Tiger Brands statement.
The company has asked that if there are people who have the above products, they should return them immediately.
Consumers who have Purity Essentials Baby Powder 400g, 200g, and 100g products need to return them to their nearest supermarket.
An exchange for a cash or coupon refund will be issued once the product is returned.
