A proud father who wants to give his daughter a Christmas she won't forget

After being in a shop full of toys for the first time last year, a father wants his daughter to have that experience again.
This week, thanks to The Festive Big Favour brought to you by Toys R Us & Babies R Us we were introduced to Desmond Oosthuis who nominated his young daughter, Ava May Oosthuis.
The proud father has been through difficult financial situations, and along with his partner, they still managed to keep the family as tight as possible.

"She is such a delight. She loves to visit and it's been difficult during COVID. In Ladysmith, unfortunately, the options aren't very big, and we went to East London for the first time about 14 months ago. It was her first time in a shop just with toys and that utter delight will live with me forever," an emotional Desmond says.

After speaking to Ava May, Toys R Us and Babies R Us' Christmas fairy Catherine Jacoby gave her the gift of her dreams. Little Ava will have a room full of toys after receiving a R2500 toys vouchers and R2500 cash. She also received her very own 'Barbie Colour Reveal Doll'.
