Last week, Miss SA Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters escaped a hijacking attempt in Johannesburg.
"Nel-Peters was approached by three armed hijackers. She managed to exit the vehicle and a good Samaritan came to Nel-Peters' aid and drove her away from the scene," spokesperson Claudia Henkel said.
We managed to get Nel-Peters on the line to check up on her and she shared some very useful advice on how to handle such situations.
We're glad Demi-Leigh is safe and doing okay after such a traumatic experience. We urge you all to be alert on the roads.
