Netflix and NASA are bringing space right to your couch!

Houston, we have a stream! NASA is launching on Netflix this year

It’s nearly time to swap those crime dramas and dating shows for rocket launches and astronaut spacewalks.
NASA is officially coming to Netflix!
The US space agency has partnered with the streaming giant to add NASA+ (its on-demand space content service) to Netflix later this year.
Viewers around the world will soon be able to stream live views of Earth from the International Space Station, watch missions unfold in real-time, and enjoy documentaries about humans in space.
All of this without leaving the comfort of their couch (or giving up control of the remote).
According to a joint announcement made by both NASA and Netflix, the collaboration aims to reach Netflix’s extensive audience of over 700 million subscribers.
However, no exact rollout date has been confirmed just yet,
This is part of NASA’s bigger mission, as Rebecca Sirmons, General Manager of NASA+, puts it, “to inspire new generations right from the comfort of their couch or in the palm of their hand from their phone.”
The Economic Times reported that programming schedules and extra details are still under wraps (classic NASA move, right?), but we should expect a mix of rocket launches, space history, aeronautics insights, and live event coverage.
