Women around the world are now putting on a full face of make-up for childbirth, and some aren't blending in with the trend.

According to Bored Panda, and Cosmetify.Com "More and more women are joining the tread and ensuring their face beat is Instagram worthy. One would think during such a painful process of childbirth, the last thing on a mom's mind is ensuring her highlighter is on point. It also states that a study from Cosmetify revealed that 64% of women aged 18 to 31 get beauty treatments before going into labor, including hair removal (65%), a manicure (57%), pedicure (43%), spray tan (37%) or a blow-dry, cut or styling (32%)."

While glamming up for this life-changing occasion is not exactly a new thing, women have different reasons as to why they do it.

In the same study, respondents were asked why they were so concerned about their appearance following childbirth, and among the top reasons were looking good in photos (31%), looking presentable for visitors (26%) or to avoid looking ill, drained and tired (22%).

A different study revealed that the average woman applies make-up within two-and-a-half hours of giving birth.

Have a look at some of the moms who did do their make-up during labour:
