Mom heard strange man's voice on baby monitor, discovers something bizarre

 A couple in Cincinnati were peacefully sleeping when they heard a man's voice come over their baby monitor.

The voice could be heard saying: "Wake up, baby". They soon realised that they couldn't recognise the man's voice and dashed to their baby's room.

Thankfully, the baby was safe, but the mom realised that the monitor was moving erratically and she alerted her husband.

They took the monitor to an expert who discovered that there was a firmware glitch inside the camera, which allowed a sophisticated hacker to obtain the monitor’s passwords. He could watch, hear, and speak to the baby.

When the parents alerted the monitor's manufacturer to the issue, the company revealed a frightening truth: this wasn’t the first time something like this had happened.
