LISTEN: Loadshedding is a thing of the past for Chantel and her elderly parents

We are all affected negatively by loadshedding - work, social, and home life. Chantel is a young woman who recently had her parents move in with her family. But it has not been easy...
As they need to prepare food before leaving for work to make life and eating better for her parents, it is important that they have electricity at all times.

Unfortunately, loadshedding ambushes their plans and sometimes has them looking for alternative plans which are not ideal to help feed her parents.
She then saw a chance during Black Friday to send through something that would change not only her life, but her parents' as well.
She had the wish of receiving a gas stove.
She wrote: "With the dreaded load shedding I have been looking at
them for a while, a simple task of making a meal or even just boiling a kettle
has become a nightmare."

"Recently my elderly parents moved in with my husband and myself due to health reasons, having them closer when they need help is such a relief, if I was able to take this headache away for all of us as well would be just absolutely amazing. "
