LISTEN: The coronation plans for King Misuzulu are set

The Zulu monarch will enter a cattle kraal at a royal palace in Nongoma.

This weekend will prove to be pivotal for the Zulu Kingdom. 

AmaZulu Traditional Prime Minister, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, has confirmed that the coronation of King Misuzulu kaZwelithini will take place this weekend.

According to IOL, the ritual is to report to the ancestors that King Goodwill Zwelithini has departed. 

Buthelezi has said that this coronation ceremony is in line with traditional Zulu practises.

Darren, Keri, and Sky decided to investigate this matter as they wanted to find out all the details. 

So they called Professor Sihawukele Ngubane, who is an expert on Zulu Culture at University of KwaZulu-Natal

Buthelezi recaps on the matter of Zulu rituals happening in the Zulu kingdom.

"On Friday the 29th of July 2022, this agreement between the King and the President was announced to the meeting of the Royal Family about the venue of the handing-over of the certificate by the President to the King, at Moses Mabhida Stadium," says Buthelezi.
