#LifeHacksByKeri: Sanitary pads can be a girl and guy's best friend
Updated | By Keri Miller
Every Wednesday, Keri Miller brings you some life-changing DIY tips, but this week is something extraordinary.
So you’ve got feet that sweat, but sweaty feet can also mean smelly feet. This is a pretty bizarre but genius lifehack. Sanitary pads to the rescue.
What you need:
- All you need is a pad, a deodorant stick or roll-on
- A shoe
As we move away from single-use plastic, you may have things like this at home that you feel bad using, but you’ve already got them. This lifehack is not encouraging you to go out and purchase but to use what you already have.
What you need to do:
- Roll some deodorant onto the pad.
- Take off the back (to expose the sticky side).
- Stick the pad to your shoe.
- Wear the shoe.
Watch as I demonstrate below:

The pad absorbs moisture (in this case the sweat), and the deodorant helps deodorise. It’s ridiculously simple.
