Let's support Bafana Bafana - it's the least we can do

Our national football team has let us down many times before, but the least we can do in these trying times is support them to pull off the seemingly impossible task of qualifying for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Benedict, Darren, and Sky discuss Bafana Bafana's World Cup qualification prospects, Telkom Knockout fixtures, and Manchester City's victory over Arsenal. Listen to the podcast and read more in the blog below.

Stuart Baxter’s men sit bottom of Group B with four points from four matches. That’s four points off the pace! It’s all in their hands now as they play table-topping Senegal twice.

The match between Burkina Faso and Cape Verde will have no bearing on Bafana's qualification hopes as they're both sitting on six points and they only play each other once, meaning they can only end up on nine points, while Bafana can potentially end up on 10.

Had it not been for shambolic performances against minnows Cape Verde in both legs we would have sealed qualification by now. The team now has two do-or-die clashes and we need to support them.

South Africa will be without suspended Andile Jali and Bongani Zungu in the first match this Friday at Peter Mokaba Stadium, but they will be available for the away match in Dakar, Senegal.

Stuart Baxter has gone as far as roping in motivational speakers and sports psychologists to deal with the players'mindset. Let's hope the boys do us proud.
