Kiranya Ponnan crowned #ECRLastKidStanding with SASKO spelling bee champion!

KZN, there's a new champion in town and she's from Athlone Primary School.

After four weeks of grueling competition, KZN, give your #ECRLastKidStanding with SASKO champion a round of applause.


All roads led us to the Sky Venue at Southern Sun Elangeni & Maharani in Durban, where our three finalists took to the stage.

Bella-Jade Packer from Hillcrest Primary, Kiranya Ponnan from Athlone Primary School, and Mohamed Ahmed from Atholl Heights Primary School put their resolve to the test.

After a really stressful period in KZN - due to the #KZNFloods - our finalists stepped up and showed KZN why they're the future leaders.

Could it be more A-M-A-Z-I-N-G that Kiranya took the crown using that exact word? Amazing!

Congratulations to Kiranya Ponnan from Athlone Primary School on becoming our second-ever Last Kid Standing champion!

1ST PLACE

1st place: Kiranya won the following list of A-M-A-Z-I-N-G prizes:

  • School fees to the value of R25 000

2ND PLACE

In second place - a twist - we had a tie between Bella-Jade Packer from Hillcrest Primary and Mohamed Ahmed from Atholl Heights Primary School.
