The holidays are around the corner and that means spending time with family and friends, and many meals cooked on coals.

Now you can be 'all that and a bag of chips' at your next braai. Here's how:

What you will need:

  •  chips (stale or fresh chips)
  • Lighter/matches
  • friends :)

To do?

  1. Stack the chips placed in a pile in a fireproof area and light.
  2. 1 x small bag of Doritos burns for just over 6mins
  3. Then add your wood or coal.

What? Chips? Why?

All kinds of chips work for making fire. In fact, they work as well as birch bark for starting a fire in a hurry.

If you think about it, it’s basically pure hydrocarbons which burn as they're soaked in fat.

Happy braaing!
