We love our delicate clothing, and with it comes the risk of them getting damaged easily even when we least expect it, causing an utter meltdown for the whole day. However, these six hacks will save you from the most common wardrobe disasters:

1. Runny Stockings

You’ve prepared your outfit the night before only to rip your stockings as you put them on. Prevent runs in your tights by spraying them with hairspray. This bonds the fibers together, making your tights less likely to get runs or snags.

2. T-shirt Towel

Now that you’ve used your hairspray on your tights, it's time to use your shirt on your hair. Wait, what?

Drying your hair with a towel can make it fuzzy, fluffy, and make you feel like you’re auditioning for 'The Lion King'. Use a nice soft shirt to ‘towel dry’ your hair.

3.  Multi-purpose hair straighter

Are your clothes clinging to you?  Do you have a creased collar? Do you have a hair iron?

Well, you can use you hair iron for a quick clothing iron job!

4. The only 'lint' balls you want are made of chocolate

Got a piece of clothing you absolutely LOVE but it is covered in those lint balls? Don’t spend money on a lint remover, instead grab a disposable razor and shave the affected area of the item. Clean it after with a lint roller or sellotape.

5. No green fingers

Love costume jewellery but not super keen on the green tinge left on your skin? Apply a coat of clear nail polish to your rings and stop them from turning your fingers green.

6. Keep your buttons on

And while you have your nail polish out, pop a coat of the clear polish to the thread on your buttons to stop the cotton from dissolving or breaking and keep your buttons popping off.
