Talia Naicker, 18, took matters into her own hands...

When one matriculates, the first thing on one's mind is: "What's next?"
For Talia Naicker, she was hoping to make her way to the University of Johannesburg.

Unfortunately, she was rejected but the determined young woman persevered and reapplied.
When she got accepted for the new course, she then struggled with getting funding from multiple organisations.
This was when she took matters into her own hands.

Education is hugely important.
As much as there is unemployment, it equips one for opportunities and opens one's mind to so much more about the world.
