In the early hours of Thursday, 14 July 2016, a devastating fire broke out at the Lakehaven Child and Youth Care Centre in Sea Cow Lake, north of Durban.

Tragically, eight people, including several children, were killed in the blaze.

Most of the orphanage has been destroyed and food supplies are scarce.

East Coast Breakfast host, Darren Maule, would like you to help us make a difference for the 60 survivors of this tragic fire and help Lakehaven Child and Youth Care centre get back onto its feet.
