He thought he won the world title... but he's a lap EARLY.

This is probably one of the most embarrasing moments in the history of sports.
This must be the most awkwardest moment ever!
A cyclist cruised to the finishing line celebrating his new world championship title - only to later discover he was on his penultimate lap.
Cyclist Adama Toupalik, 19-years-old, was some distance ahead of the pack in the Under-23s Men's Cyclocross World Championship final in Heusden-Zolder, Belgium.
He accelerated hard out of what he thought was the final corner before straightening up and heading towards the start/finish line.
In the clip, he can be seen lifting his
arms into the air in delight, banging his chest in pride as the horrified crowd and commentator urge
him to keep pedaling.
Adding insult to injury for the young and enthusiastic rider, the title was eventually won by Belgium's Eli Iserbyt.
After the race, Toupalik - who eventually finished second - told Czech media that he is an 'idiot' for losing count of the laps.
