Drinks that will most likely give you a gut & man boobs
Updated | By East Coast Breakfast
Summer quickly approaches and soon sun downers are going to be the call every evening over the sun set when every hour is happy hour, but do you know which drinks might make you gain weight?
We often never think of the calories of the drinks we take, but it’s been proven that alcohol is a huge contributing factor to weight gain and belly boep problems.
Here are some tips on how to handle your beverage intake:
1. Lite Beer- lite on calories, flavor and alcohol content but these often come served in buckets and pitchers and 1 beer turns to 6 and you’re barely buzzed. Next think your belly looks like an inflated cushion.
2. Craft Beer – compared to a lite beer, craft beer has so many more calories than most realize. Dairy queen blizzard levels of calories! …but luckily you’re allowed to smell and thoroughly discuss your craft beer, which acts as a decent governor against over consumption & potential weight gain.
3. Cocktails – Pink drinks make good for Instagram photographs but not so much for your hips and stomach. A mint leaf, orange grind garnish or slice of lemon doesn’t make it any healthier than it looks.
4. Bourbon- Distilled corn, which is kind of like drinking your veggies. Low in calories, it’s better served with a splash of water or ice.
5. Single Malt – Most single malts are so intense that once one uncorks a bottle your nostrils take a backseat. Good. Smell isn’t caloric.
6. Red wine – Good for your heart & digesting food.
7. White wine – Oh…I’m not sure which colour wine is good for you..I know the one is terribly packed with sugar than the other. Or they both are? Then again, insufferable wine connoisseurs are usually trim. Moving right along…
8. Tequila – The drink for men in tank tops in the club, because why? Its low in calories being friendlier to muscles, 6-packs & leg day…bleh
9. Vodka – flavourless, colourless and odorless and low in calories…reminds me of skinny, good-looking girls who lack personality…hhmm…
10. Gin – A much better choice in a clear spirit. It’s like flavoured vodka but with the kick of a Sumo wrestler, slow but strong. Low in calories, it’s best not served with tonic as it has more calories than mountain dew.
11. Cider- Consumed correctly you might just avoid having a BMI double your age. Low in calories, & some gluten free, ciders trick you into consuming more. Check the label though.
Anything labeled “Skinny Girl” just means you have no intention of having a good time so don’t even bother. Go to bed.
