Dricus du Plessis: "We have the worst government in the world"

South Africa's beloved MMA star, Dricus du Plessis, has landed back in Mzansi following his victorious trip to Canada.

Du Plessis landed at OR Tambo International Airport on Thursday morning after taking down Sean Strickland in their UFC Middleweight Championship encounter at the Scotiabank Arena in Ontario, Canada, on Sunday morning.

Scores of local fans waited in anticipation for his arrival, with the MMA star not disappointing with his theatrics as he walked through arrivals to a rapturous applause.

While his homecoming has been met with excitement, du Plessis caused some controversy with his comments regarding the South African government during an interview with Nina Drama, who posed the question: "What's your government like?"

While we are unsure how his comments may affect his overall return home, what du Plessis has proven yet again is that when a South African puts their mind to something, the sky is the limit.
