Dinosaur skeleton continues to be excavated in Portugal!

Imagine finding a dinosaur's skeleton in your yard at home?!

A discovery that has left many wondering about dinosaurs again.

According to Phys.org, remains have been discovered of what could be the largest dinosaur to be found in Europe.

This skeleton was uncovered in a person's backyard in Pombal.

This actually started way back in 2017 while the owner was carrying out construction work.

The presence of several fragments of fossilised bones was discovered in his yard and he contacted the research team, who carried out the first excavation.

According to Elisabete Malafaia, a palaeontologist at Faculty of Sciences at Lisbon University, stated that the remains are thought to be those of a Sauropod, a herbivorous dinosaur. 

"It's one of the biggest specimens discovered in Europe, perhaps in the world," says Elisabete.

Among the bones that were collected, they found the remains of a rib about three meters long.
