If you're a vehicle owner, it's time to take a closer look at your licence disc.

For many, this small, circular piece of paper might not seem like a big deal, but it's an essential element of legally keeping your vehicle on the road.
According to reports coming from MyBroadband, more than a million motor vehicle licences are set to expire in September. Missing the expiration date on your licence disc can lead to fines, hassles, and more.
The Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) is hoping that vehicle owners take proactive steps in order to renew their licences.

For our Breakfast host Darren Maule, he was so relieved when he got the SMS saying he must fetch his.
"I thought for a moment there that they are still making it, but it turns out that they had it all this time," says Darren.

All vehicle owners are encouraged to update their email and cellphone contact details at online.natis.gov.za in order to receive reminders via email or cellphone.
Car owners can renew on the same portal and have their vehicle licences delivered within three to five days.
