Environmental campaigner Nicole Barlow stirred Twitter with a comment she made about Gwede Mantashe ditching President Cyril Ramaphosa’s event to attend a Cosatu event instead. She said: “We missed an opportunity to do a Chris Hani on him.”

The Comrades Marathon Association (CMA) has confirmed that it is looking into concerns raised by runners in this year’s 96th Comrades Marathon, held on Sunday, 11 June 2023.

Disgraced R&B singer R Kelly stated this week that he is "scared for his life" after recovering from emergency surgery to treat blood clots in his leg.
