Darren Maule, Sky Tshabalala and Natarah Nadesan were surely missed while they were on summer vacation but they surely did not leave you behind as they share their moments with their loved ones with you.

Darren

I know holidays are supposed to be all about rest and recreation but my December holiday was a lot more recreation and not so much rest.

I had to put up this tree and it took so long that I'm contemplating leaving it there for the rest of the year!

Then I took my mouse to this beach to teach her how to ride a bike without training wheels!

Oh, and in the evenings I made new friends while performing in the annual Adult Panto.

In my spare time I had to support the Proteas at the Boxing Day Test.

The rest of my very precious spare time I spent swimming with the fishes.

The start of my Holiday was pretty special and epic.

19 December my cousin got married in Vryheid and I was one of his Groomsmen. A absolutely stunning white and traditional wedding- VERY colourful.

For the 1st time in a long time I had to wear a suit and boy I look good in one.

I have always heard of how epic and awesome a Boxing Day Test match is in Durban , I mean it's become a KZN tradition and I was honored to get a personal invite to the Castle Corner by Castle Lager.

The most epic sports experience I have ever experienced. We might have lost the Test and their was rain but that didn't damper my spirits.

The Barmy army are absolutely fantastic , honestly the best bunch of supporters I've ever seen.

Here's to sharing a beer with the BOYZ!

Then finally one of the most memorable parts of my holiday had to my brothers 21st Birthday party which was held in Mandeni.

A awesome traditional occasion, two cows were slaughtered, umqombothi and the works.

The festivities went on to the early hours of Sunday morning and I must say I think I ate meat to last me the whole year.

I teamed up with my mum in the kitchen. This chicken and prawn curry was one of the tastiest and juiciest dishes we made. It takes time but it was all worth it at the end. As you can see the prawns were plump and after a good soak with their poultry neighbours, they absorbed all the delicious flavours and gravy. It definitely was a festive treat!

We all have that one family member who isn’t tech-savvy. This pic was taken on Christmas Day and as you can see the top of hubby’s head is missing. It’s such a cool pic though, I had to share it with you. We’d come from church and were exchanging gifts. That’s my aunt photobombing from the left.
