1. South African hip-hop artist Kiernan Forbes, known as AKA, was shot dead on Florida Road

Kiernan “AKA” Forbes loved his country. His sudden death sent shockwaves throughout the country and still remains an unsolved mystery to many fans. 

Mzansi has extended the utmost respect, compassion, and prayers to those who were fortunate enough to be part of his music legacy.

2. TV legend Derek Watts has lost his battle with cancer

For decades, Derek Watts fearlessly reported on countless stories; shedding light on corruption, exposing injustices, and captivating audiences with his unwavering dedication to journalistic integrity. Sadly, Watts lost his battle with cancer on Tuesday, 22 August 2023.
