Big reason why you must not hug your dog
Updated | By East Coast Breakfast
Yes, you read right. You need to stop hugging your dog, and it's a sad reason why.
It’s been revealed in a study by Psychology Today that dogs HATE hugs.
We get all the gratification and the poor things end up afraid.
In the study, a researcher discovered that in photos of dogs being hugged 82 per cent of them were displaying signs of great anxiety.
Their heads were turned away, their ears were flat and the whites of their little eyes were showing.
Not cool.
They hate being hugged because it makes them feel trapped. All they want to do is run and play and then you come along and smother them with your silly affection and freak them out!
So pet them, rub them and play with them, but think twice before you hug your dog.
