Beyoncé  kicked off her Formation World Tour on Wednesday evening in Miami.

After a few days following the release of her Lemonade HBO special and drop of her new album, the 20-time Grammy-winning singer took the stage in Florida on the first leg of her 41-show global tour.

She was a trending topic even before the show began because of merchandise at her concert that read "Boycott Beyoncé ."

She sang her new song "Formation," as well as "Sorry," "Run the World," "Baby Boy" and more favorites. During an interlude, the band even played Prince's "Purple Rain" as the audience sang along.
