With over 200 careers since 1959, Barbie has now entered the courtroom as a judge. The announcement was made to encourage girls to learn more about making decisions to change the world for the better.
According to CNN, the 'Career of the Year' doll came about after learning that only 33% of sitting US state judges are women. The legendary doll is available in a variety of different skin tones and hairstyles.
She comes with a customary black robe and a lacy collar that looks strikingly similar to that worn by Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Barbie comes with a gavel and block in which kids can use to bring their courtroom to order.
The company has released a number of dolls that represent all girls. This year, South African celeb Lira was the first African woman to have a doll made after her. The doll is part of Barbie’s 60th Anniversary Shero campaign, which celebrates role models who inspire young girls.
