Updated | By East Coast Radio
A baby born with 31 fingers and toes has undergone his first surgery, Daily Star reported.
Earlier this year, news broke that a baby was born with 31 fingers and toes in China. Hong Hong reportedly had 15 fingers, 16 toes and two palms on each hand, but no thumbs.
His family, from the village of Zhongping, reportedly asked donors for R450,000 to help the baby boy get surgery.

After a few months, the eight-month-old baby has successfully undergone his first surgery with the help of No. 6 Hospital of Ningbo City, in East China’s Zhejiang Province, Daily Star reports.
He now has only two more surgeries left, which will reportedly be done before he starts school. Although the congenital condition of having extra fingers or toes affects one in every 1,000 births, Hong's condition is more severe.
